Privacy
Last updated: October 17, 2026.
This is a personal website. It has no accounts, forms, advertising or cookies. To understand how many people visit and where they come from, it keeps a simple visit log.
What is recorded
- The page you opened and the time of the visit.
- The website that sent you here, as a domain only (for example, linkedin.com), or "direct".
- A shortened version of your IP address with the last part removed, so it cannot point to a single device.
- Your approximate city, region, country and internet provider, looked up from your IP address.
Each page is recorded at most once per browser session. Known search engine bots are not recorded.
Services involved
- ipapi.co looks up the approximate location of your IP address when the page loads.
- Google Apps Script receives the record and stores it in a private Google Sheet that only I can open.
- GitHub Pages hosts the site and may keep its own server logs under GitHub's privacy statement.
How long it is kept
Visit records are deleted automatically after 12 months. They are never sold or shared.
How to opt out
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded. You can also stop recording on this browser by opening muhammetfurkankarakaya.com/?notrack once; open /?track to turn it back on.
